The first DEUTZ MTH 222 tractor with a 14 hp diesel engine is built.
1929
The MTZ range, which makes DEUTZ a leader on the German market, is launched.

Motorenfabrik DEUTZ mergers with Humboldt-DEUTZ Motoren.

The “people’s tractor”, the F1 M414, with a single-cylinder 11 hp engine, comes into being – the first mini-tractor worldwide to be mass-produced, and is decisive in promoting the mechanisation of small farms.
1937
Klöckner is acquired and the company is renamed KHD (Klöckner – Humboldt – Deutz) one of Germany’s largest groups, covering all sectors of the engine industry: cars, lorries, trains, ships, aircraft and tractors.
1950
The first DEUTZ tractor with an air-cooled diesel engine is produced. The F1 L514 and F2 L514 models are launched.

100,000 tractors are manufactured.

Operations with Fahr, a manufacturer of agricultural equipment since the previous century begin, through a minority shareholding in KHD.

Hydraulic lifting adjustment for DEUTZ tractors, the DEUTZ – TRANSFERMATIC system is introduced

DEUTZ series 06 tractors are launched, and become the most successful tractors ever built, with over 380,000 sold.

The majority holding in FAHR is acquired.
1970
The factory for agricultural machinery Kodel & Bohm, founded in 1909 at Lauingen, is acquired.
1972
The INTRAC series, the multi-functional tractor with multiple auto-hitch attachments for equipment with and a cab, rear linkage and front power take off is produced for civil and industrial use.
1978
DEUTZ-DX tractors are launched on the market: a new generation of tractors, featuring synchronised gears, a forced lubrication system, four-wheel drive as standard, cabs with elastic suspension, and from 80 to 200 horsepower.
1982
The DEUTZ-FAHR brand is introduced on tractors and combine harvesters.
1984
The DX3 tractors are introduced on the market: from 46 to 75 HP.
1990
The AGROSTAR 88-143 hp tractors are launched.
1992
On 20th November, the one millionth KHD tractor is produced: the AGRO X-TRA 4.57, with full visibility cab.
1993
AGROSTAR 6.71, 6.81 and 8.31 models, 165-230 hp, with ELECTRONIC POWERSHIFT transmissions are produced by the Same+Lamborghini+Hürlimann Group.

The DEUTZ-FAHR brand is acquired by the SLH Group.

The first Agrotron tractor series is launched.
2001
The Agrotron TTV series, the new generation of CVT transmission, zero power loss engine tractors are, produced.
2012
The 7250 TTV Agrotron Deutz model wins the “Tractor of the Year” award as the best tractor on the market; it also wins the Golden Tractor for Design (Giugiaro) Award and Red Dot Design Award for its functionality, aesthetics and ergonomics.
2013
DEUTZ-FAHR 6 Series and MaxiVision Cab win the “German Design Award 2014”.
2014
The 9 series is launched and the 9340 TTV wins the “Golden Tractor for the Design” 2015.
2016
The 6 series is improved with the full robotized transmission RCshift, the automatic management of all transmission speeds.
2017
DEUTZ-FAHR LAND, the most modern tractor factory, and the DEUTZ-FAHR ARENA, the new customer centre are opened in Lauingen, Bavaria, in May.
